Ja Morant suspended from Grizzlies for 2 games after posing with gun on Instagram

For displaying a handgun on Instagram, Ja Morant was suspended from the Grizzlies for two games.

Ja Morant, the top choice by the Memphis Grizzlies, was recently the focus of an itemized piece that claimed he was involved in three violent off-court incidents.

The NBA looked into his actions during an early-morning Saturday Instagram Live, and the NBA announced on Saturday that he had been suspended for two games as a result.

Instagram Live videos vanish after they are over, but his virtual entertainment movement was screen recorded, screen photographed, and reused online.

After Friday night’s 113-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets on the road for the Grizzlies, Morant appeared to be broadcasting from a strip club. Morant used 10 aids and 27 focuses in his work.

In the video, Morant can be seen holding a gun to the side of his head and continuously flashing it.

The NBA’s Mike Bass said in a statement that they are aware of a social media post concerning Ja Morant and are looking into it.

I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down,” it read. “I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being.”

The most recent accusation is that someone in Morant’s vehicle pointed a laser at Indiana Pacers players who were traveling with them. Following the publication of the piece, Morant’s attorney and agent released a statement denying each allegation.
